We seek and propose new styles of Japanese language education through our research of the following issues.
1. Cognition: We promote cognitive linguistics research to apply the findings to Japanese language education. 2. Acquisition: We promote second language acquisition research to apply the findings to Japanese language education. 3. Culture: We seek a new style of holistic Japanese education incorporating cultural education. 4. Coexistence: We seek a multilingual and multicultural education for the global era.
Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research C, "An empirical research on the semantic structures of basic polysemous Japanese verbs and adjuctives and their acquisition and education" was adopted (2013-2015).
3. I am on a sabbatical leave in the spring 2014 semester.
